I encountered my first impossible burger this winter—I saw it on the Founding Farmer’s Menu  and based on the chatter about it at the table, I decided to take the gamble and order this ‘non-beef’ burger.  Wow.  This burger is as revolutionary as it is cracked up to be—juicy and meaty like a real burger.  It’s also a game changer for all us burger lovers who have given up beef after learning of all the negative impacts cows have on the planet.  Cows are a major cause of deforestation and erosion, a terribly inefficient food source, and a significant contributor to green house gasses.

And the best Easter surprise I got this weekend—I learned that a major fast food chain is getting on board.  Burger King—seller of 2.4 billion burgers per year—has announced its Impossible Whopper, “100% Whopper, 0% Beef”.  I’m hoping it won’t be long before others follow suit.

If you want to make your own, Whole Foods also has a version of the Impossible Burger based on the same juicy technology.  Check out what makes the impossible burger, possible, https://singularityhub.com/2019/04/19/what-makes-the-impossible-burger-look-and-taste-like-real-beef/#sm.000s8d63n1dqhd9my5b2hunx7y8kt and serve one up at your next backyard cookout!
