Finley’s Green Leap Forward’s biggest giving year to date—$96,000 in grants announced today!
Today Finley’s Green Leap Forward is so pleased to announce our biggest grant year yet—with grants totaling $96,000 to organizations doing great work for the planet! In addition to continuing our support for 5 incredible organizations and the new projects they are tackling this year, we are adding a sixth grant to meet pressing challenges facing environmental efforts in the US. A big thank you to the following organizations for all the hard work they are doing on the ground!
Cacapon Institute – $16,000 grant
Rainforest Trust – $16,000 grant
Cool Earth – $16,000 grant
Eden: People Planet – $16,000 grant
Reserva the Youth Land Trust – $16,000 grant
NEW this year: Southern Environmental Law Center – $16,000 grant
This year we’ve seen environmental federal grants to community projects defunded midstream. These projects were directly improving the air we breathe, our water, the greening of underserved communities, and the conversion to sustainable energy. With direct attacks on the projects important to the health of our planet it is critical we pull together and push back. Southern Environmental Law Center is one of the nation’s most powerful and effective defenders of the environment, and they are standing up for the just implementation of these commitments—now with help from Finley’s Green Leap Forward. We are not alone in our concern—Finley’s $16,000 grant is going to be matched by another SELC donor, doubling our impact for the planet.
